Welcome to Amakusa Guest House CHELSEA
CHELSEA is a guest house located in Amakusa, western Kumamoto Prefecture.
It used to be run as Amakusa Guest House Spring, but it was relocated and opened up.
I began to think that a new way of life was required in Corona-don,
and that the ideal way of the guest house had to be changed.
The guest house was used as the best place to meet and interact with traveling guests,
but in a situation where contact with other people had to be kept to a minimum,
many public places (kitchens, baths, toilets) could be shunned,
so we decided to take the plunge and restart it as an inn with showers and toilets in all rooms.
Even so, we have prepared a commun living room for guests who want to interact with each other,
so that guests can use it at their own discretion. Until now, there was also a dormitory (phase room),
but this was abolished by a bitter decision, and I was allowed to guide only private rooms.
Dormitory is also one of the characteristics of the guest house, so I am very sorry,
but I would like to ask for your understanding.
It will be a change from the idea that you want guests who come to Amakusa to enjoy Amakusa
with peace of mind. Please feel free to talk to the staff. We are ready to help you with your trip.
We will strive to welcome guests from all over the country as a guest house
that can be used casually as a base for Amakusa sightseeing from now on, so thank you.
Surrounded by the sea and islands, Amakusa is not a very convenient place to visit, but we would like you to enjoy the nature, culture and history of Amakusa, since you are coming to this remote area. Rather than rushing around the tourist sites, we would like you to get away from your daily life and spend your time slowly and carefree, touching the island’s breeze. Of course, we also welcome you for business.
